Winter Outdoor Activities

Sailing on Lake Jindabyne

This is an image taken on Lake Kindabyne next to the Snowline Caravan Park. You too can experience the exhilaration and excitement of flowing along with quick winds aboard a windsurfer or one of our catamarans. Both 14' and 16' Hobie Cats and sailboards are available for tuition or hire.

Canoe or Kayak

You can take control of a boat into your own hands with Paddy Pallin and Mountain Adventure Centre, which provides you with guided beginner or advanced lake and river expeditions. All safety equipment is supplied by the outfit.

Walking and Hiking tours

Professional operators working with Paddy Pallin can take you through the mountains. Through their expertise, they can bring you to Alpine Sunsets, Sunrise Walks, or even a Brumbie walk. Boat Hire

Snowline Boat Hire is located at the Kosciuszko/Thredbo Road Junction in Jindabyne inside Snowline Caravan Park. Thredbo Alpine Village

Located within Kosciuszko National Park on the Alpine Way, Thredbo provides you with countless activities regardless of interest or age. There are guided walks that lead to Mount Kosciuszko beginning from a very well-known and popular chairlift ride that provides one with a good “welcome” to the Snowy Mountains. In addition, specialized children’s activities are available during the holiday season that are must-dos for any family. You might also choose to take a dip in our indoor heated pool that comes equipped with a children’s waterslide. Kosciuszko Walk

If you are planning on visiting the mountains, you are sure to want to walk to Mount Kosciuszko. At a distance of about 14 km, walking from the peak of the Thredbo chairlift or from the pass at Charlotte can be easily completed by relatively healthy individuals. All you need to do is be aware of weather conditions and take along enough appropriate clothing to avoid being caught in bad weather without proper equipment since changes in weather occur extremely often and very quickly.
